At the CORAL Youth Institute, I taught Animation and Compositing techniques to a group of 25 high school students from Sacramento. The students were divided into 5 "Production Companies". Each company was responsible for an animated production logo, a magazine article and a video project.

This logo was produced by an animation student of mine, Javier Gutierrez. He found a cartoon cow on the internet and wanted to use it as a logo for his group's production company, "Dairy Fairy Productions". He drew out wings in Adobe Photoshop 7, and I helped him animate the wing flaps in Adobe After Effects. We then added sparkles that followed the flying cow using Combustion 2.1.

It truly rewarding to be part of the creation of this comical concept.
I show this as an example of what can be taught in an 7-week crash course in animation.
